Scrappers at Midnight
Do we look sleepy? NO, not at all! This photo was taken at midnight, at the end of a great evening of scrapbooking & creativity at a great new scrabpook store in Murrieta called It's About Time... I loved it! Cool store, great staff, awesome workspace, nice selection of supplies and beautiful displays of products and sample projects. I'd love to be a frequent shopper & scrapper in this store! Since this was the day after I was discharged from my unexpected hospital stay (not to mention I wasn't organized enough to unpack, sort through, and repack photos & supplies to bring with me), I spent my time working on creating some fun 'altered books' with composition notebooks and some great paper & embellishments I found in the store. Teresa liked this one (a journal) so much I sent it to her for Christmas. Wish we could get together like this more often...it was great. It's always surreal because it seems so normal to be there and spend time together...and then we leave and don't get to hang out for months at a time. Sad.

New Year comin'--new blog for the Keelers!
Ok--I've toyed with the whole 'blog' idea for a while now...seems so OUT THERE for a suburban family...but since I can't seem to keep a journal going for long and I have such a poor memory these days, I decided to go for it. My goal: Post pics and entries detailing our lives so that when I am scrapbooking in 2007 I can easily look back for in-the-moment thoughts & stories. We'll see about opening it up to share with others as time goes on.
Also have been inspired by some other scrapbookers (you know, famous ones) who have blogs!
I'm so excited to start taking Stacy Julian's "Library of Memories" online class on January 4th. I'm hoping it will inspire me not only to get back into scrapbooking again, but to rediscover the FUN of it!
Uploaded Picasa, the absolutely fantastic answer to my prayer about organizing our digital photos--a huge hurdle as they were stored here, there & everywhere on our system(s). Check.
Uploaded 'hello'--should be fun to IM about photos with Teresa, hopefully Mom, and Amy. Am hoping Maureen will also try it out so I can see more pictures of the gorgeous baby Rebecca!
Using the wonderful Shutterfly.com more often--love it. Need to finish my first photo book & order it so it'll arrive when mom is here. Can't wait to see it!
Am embracing the digital technology available--hard to imagine we thought we'd have to pay serious $$ for photo organizing software when Google makes it available for free. LOVE that.
